Brookline residents can cast early ballots for the Nov. 3 State Election starting Saturday, Oct. 17, at three locations across town.
The Brookline Town Clerk's Office announced the early voting schedule, which runs through Friday, Oct. 30. All three sites are open on weekends, while weekday voting is limited to Town Hall.

- Brookline Town Hall, 333 Washington St.
- Coolidge Corner Library, 31 Pleasant St.
- Putterham Library, 959 W. Roxbury Parkway
Weekday hours (Oct. 19–23 and Oct. 26–30): Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Key deadlines
Voter registration closes Saturday, Oct. 24. Residents can register in person at the Town Clerk's Office in Town Hall from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day, or through the Secretary of State's online registration portal until 11:59 p.m.
The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 5 p.m. Requests can be made at BrooklineMA.gov/VoteByMail.
Two-card ballot
The Town Clerk's Office noted that the Nov. 3 ballot consists of two voting cards. That detail matters for mail voters. Voters who cast ballots by mail should return both cards.
The office recommends using one of three official ballot drop boxes, located at Town Hall, Coolidge Corner Library and Putterham Library.
Mail-in ballots can also be returned in the postage-prepaid envelope included in the ballot packet. Ballots postmarked on or before Nov. 3 must reach the Town Clerk's Office by Nov. 6 for domestic mail, or by Nov. 13 if mailed from overseas.
If your mail ballot is unreturned
Voters who requested a mail ballot but did not return it can still vote in person during early voting or on Election Day, according to the Town Clerk's Office. Procedures are in place to ensure only one ballot per voter is counted.
Election Day
Polls open Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at designated precinct locations. Voters can find their polling place through the Secretary of State's polling-place lookup tool.
Voters who cast early or mail ballots can track their status at TrackMyBallotMA.com.
