Brookline High girls soccer has won three straight games and climbed to No. 5 in the Bay State Conference power rankings.

The Warriors opened the season with a 5-0 loss at Needham on Sept. 9 but have not lost since. They beat Milton 2-1 on Sept. 15, beat Walpole 2-1 on Sept. 17 and shut out Newton South 3-0 on Saturday, Sept. 19, according to MaxPreps. All three wins came on the road.

That streak vaulted Brookline from No. 7 to No. 5 in MassLive's weekly BSC girls soccer power rankings, published Wednesday, Sept. 23. Sportswriter Kyle Grabowski noted the Warriors have reeled off three wins following their opening loss.

Brookline sits at 4-1 overall and 2-1 in Bay State Carey Division play, per MaxPreps. The Warriors are third in the Carey Division. They opened with a 6-0 win over Boston Latin on Sept. 1, and their Newton South game on Sept. 19 was not marked as a Carey Division match on MaxPreps — verify whether that was a different BSC division game or a true non-conference result before publishing.

MassLive slotted Brookline at No. 8 in its preseason rankings, based on a 6-8-5 record in 2025 and a first-round exit in the Division I state tournament via shootout.

Walpole, which fell to 1-3 after the Sept. 17 loss to Brookline, dropped to No. 8 in the latest rankings.

The schedule gets tougher from here. Brookline hosts Framingham on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 4:30 p.m. in a league match. The Warriors then travel to Newton North on Tuesday, Sept. 29 before a home match against No. 1 Natick on Thursday, Oct. 1. Natick is 2-0 and has won two of the last three Division I state titles.

Wellesley, the 2024 state champion, sits at No. 3 in the rankings. Brookline visits the Raiders on Tuesday, Oct. 6, and hosts No. 2 Needham on Thursday, Oct. 15. Three of the Warriors' next five opponents rank in the top three of the conference.
