Brookline High School swept three Bay State Conference games on Tuesday, Sept. 15, beating Milton twice and Walpole once across boys soccer, girls soccer and girls volleyball.

The boys soccer team shut out Milton 1-0 in a 4 p.m. kickoff. Brookline was the only Carey Division boys soccer team to win outright that afternoon. Natick and Framingham drew 1-1, and Wellesley and Newton North finished 0-0, according to MassLive's statewide scoreboard.

Brookline entered the fall ranked No. 3 in MassLive's preseason BSC boys soccer power rankings, published Wednesday, Sept. 9. The Warriors reached the MIAA Division 1 quarterfinals last season as the No. 21 seed after finishing 8-6-7. They closed that campaign on a 7-2-4 run.

Girls soccer followed at 4:30 p.m. Brookline topped Milton 2-1. The Warriors and Natick, which beat Framingham 1-0, were the only Carey Division girls soccer teams to record wins on Sept. 15. Newton North and Wellesley played to a scoreless draw.

Girls volleyball completed the sweep with a 3-0 blanking of Walpole, also at 4:30 p.m. The program reached the MIAA Division I state championship game last season after going 7-1 in Carey Division play.

Three other Bay State Conference volleyball matches took place on Sept. 15. Newton North swept Milton 3-0, Natick swept Braintree 3-0 and Needham outlasted Wellesley 3-2.

The Sept. 15 results give Brookline victories across all three fall sports in a single afternoon of Bay State Conference action.
