The Brookline Police Department swore in its newest officers at a ceremony in early October after 21 weeks of academy training, the department said on X.
The officers have entered the department's Field Training Program. The program begins with two weeks of instruction on local bylaws, department policies and use-of-force procedures, according to the department.
The department, led by Chief Jennifer Paster, did not say how many officers joined the force or identify them by name.
The new officers will continue field training before beginning regular patrol duties.
