Brookline High girls volleyball swept Framingham 3-0 on Thursday, Oct. 15, extending the Warriors' unbeaten run through Bay State Conference Carey Division play.
The road victory pushed Brookline to 13-1 overall and a perfect 5-0 in conference, according to the team's MaxPreps page. The Warriors are riding an eight-game winning streak. Their lone loss came against Winchester on Sept. 23.
Framingham, winless in Carey Division play, dropped to 0-6 in conference.
Brookline entered the week ranked No. 2 in the state in MassLive's Division I power rankings, published Oct. 13. The rankings noted that the Warriors "still control D-I" and highlighted the impact of Cori Cenac, a 6-foot-1 junior middle attacker who transferred to Brookline from Louisiana. Cenac is the younger sister of Chris Cenac Jr., the Boston Celtics' first-round pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Coach Caitlin Sobolewski is in her eighth year leading the program. The Warriors are chasing their first Bay State Conference title under her watch.
The Boston Globe profiled the team on Oct. 9, detailing the Warriors' deep rotation. Senior opposite Molly Tipton and Cenac lead the team in kills. Sophomore Ryan Fenton-Hilt, senior Mia Jones, and junior Skylar Makalusky fill the pin spots, while sophomore Anna Dror leads in blocks. Seniors Nora Mullen and junior Isabella Wong run the offense as setters in the team's 6-2 system.
"We all know how to hit. We also all know how to hit balls that aren't perfect," Tipton told the Globe in that Oct. 9 profile. "Low, high, off, in, outside the antenna, inside. We know how to do it all."
Three Bay State Carey matches remain. Brookline travels to Natick on Tuesday, Oct. 20, hosts Newton North on Thursday, Oct. 22, and welcomes Wellesley on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Non-league games at Braintree on Oct. 29 and at Newton South on Oct. 30 close out the regular season.
