Three concerts remain in Brookline Recreation's expanded Summer Concert Series, which grew from four shows last year to six in 2026.
Classic Groove brings Motown, soul and R&B to Fisher Hill Park on Wednesday, July 22, followed by family favorite Vanessa Trien at Emerson Garden on July 29. The Love Dogs wrap up the series Aug. 5 with swing, rock and R&B. All concerts run from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and are free. Check BrooklineRec.com for weather updates.
If you're looking to get outside, free Gentle Yoga in the Park begins Sunday, July 19, at Emerson Park and continues every Sunday through Aug. 30 from 10 to 11 a.m. Just bring a yoga mat and water.
Families can also take advantage of the town's Summer Eats program, offering free breakfast and lunch weekdays through Aug. 15 at the 575 Brookline Ave. playground. The site also features activities like face painting, music and the mobile library.
Another summer favorite returns Aug. 4 when the Brookline Police Department hosts National Night Out at Lynch Recreation Center. The free event includes bounce houses, a K-9 demonstration, touch-a-truck vehicles, games and food.
The Brookline Farmers' Market continues every Thursday through Nov. 19 in Coolidge Corner, with local produce, baked goods, seafood, meats and more. SNAP/EBT and HIP benefits are accepted.
Looking ahead, Brookline Day returns Sunday, Sept. 27, transforming Harvard Street into the town's biggest annual street festival with live entertainment, local organizations and family activities.
