Brookline’s biggest community event of the year is back.
National Night Out returns Tuesday, August 4, bringing three hours of free family activities, food, and entertainment to the Lynch Recreation Center.
The event runs 5–8 p.m. at 599 Brookline Ave. and will feature:
- Police K-9 demonstrations
- Touch-a-truck displays
- Bounce houses and obstacle courses
- Bike rodeo
- Carnival games
- Live entertainment
- Food and ice cream
The Brookline Police Department has hosted the event annually since 2022 as a way to bring residents and officers together outside of emergency calls.
More than a dozen community groups will also be on hand, including local health, education, safety, and nonprofit organizations.
National Night Out is part of a nationwide effort launched in 1984 to strengthen relationships between police departments and the communities they serve.
