Brookline High School won three out of four Bay State Conference Carey Division contests on Thursday, Sept. 17, highlighted by a 4-0 boys soccer rout of Walpole.

The Warriors' boys soccer squad blanked the Rebels at home in a 4 p.m. match, according to MassLive's statewide scoreboard. The win came three days after a 1-0 shutout of Milton on Tuesday, Sept. 15. Brookline entered the season ranked No. 3 in MassLive's preseason BSC power rankings after an 8-6-7 campaign in 2025 that ended with a surprise run to the MIAA Division 1 quarterfinals as the No. 21 seed. Walpole, ranked last in those same preseason rankings, finished 2025 on a 14-game losing streak.

The girls soccer team traveled to Walpole and came away with a 2-1 victory in a 4:30 p.m. kickoff. Elsewhere in Carey Division girls soccer, Wellesley beat Needham 3-0, Framingham topped Weymouth 5-3, and Natick edged Braintree 3-2.

Back on home turf, the girls volleyball team swept Framingham 3-0 in a 5:15 p.m. match. Natick defeated Wellesley 3-2 and Newton North beat Braintree 3-0 in other Carey Division volleyball action.

The lone loss came on the golf course.

Brookline's boys golf team shot a combined 220 at Wellesley, falling to the Raiders' 206. In golf, the lower team score wins.

In Carey Division boys soccer, Wellesley and Needham played to a 4-4 draw, Natick shut out Braintree 2-0, Milton edged Newton North 1-0, and Framingham beat Weymouth 4-1.

The MIAA regular season for soccer runs through Nov. 3, with tournament brackets released Nov. 5 and play beginning Nov. 6.
