Monday, July 13
Documentary director Ivy Meeropol visits Coolidge Corner Theatre for a 7 p.m. screening of Ask E. Jean, followed by a discussion about journalist and advice columnist E. Jean Carroll. Tickets start at $14.
Free library fun
- Wednesday, July 15: Brookline Village Library hosts a free flower-printing workshop for kids from 4-5 p.m. Participants can decorate a white T-shirt, socks or bandana using real flowers.
- Thursday, July 16: Coolidge Corner Library offers "Wishing for Wings," a free butterfly program with songs, stories and crafts at 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.
- Thursday afternoon: Kids in grades 5-12 can read to live rabbits during "Bunnies & Books!" from 3-5 p.m. at Brookline Village Library.
Friday, July 17
Brookline Golf Course celebrates the reopening of all 18 holes with a Free Lesson Friday from 5-7 p.m. The beginner-friendly clinic marks the Massachusetts debut of National Links Trust's program. Registration is required.
Weekend highlights
- Saturday: Incoming kindergarten families can meet classmates at a free transition meetup from 2:30-3:30 p.m. at Brookline Village Library.
- Sunday: Puppet Showplace Theater presents "Party Animals" at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m., with pay-what-you-can tickets starting at $6.
- Sunday: Coolidge Corner Theatre celebrates Marilyn Monroe's centennial with a 2 p.m. screening of Some Like It Hot. Tickets start at $15.
