Brookline Police are asking the public to help identify three people believed to be connected to an assault that occurred Wednesday, July 22, on Harvard Street.

The department released surveillance images showing the trio riding motorcycles northbound on Harvard Street toward Commonwealth Avenue on the day of the reported assault, according to a Brookline Police appeal published by Patch on Tuesday, Aug. 11. The exact location of the incident along Harvard Street has not been disclosed.

Police said none of the three individuals are currently considered wanted. Detectives need the public's assistance to identify them and advance the investigation.

The appeal comes approximately 20 days after the reported assault.

The department has not released physical descriptions of the riders or details about the nature of the assault, including whether anyone was injured. The surveillance images published alongside the appeal show the three individuals on motorcycles but provide limited identifying information beyond their direction of travel. Residents who believe they may recognize the riders from the images can view them at the Patch article linked above.

Harvard Street is one of Brookline's busiest commercial corridors. The stretch between Beacon Street and Kent Street was undergoing Phase 2 of a major paving project in late July, according to town documents, with roadway work including milling, utility adjustments and new pavement markings running throughout the summer.

The Brookline Police Department has not announced a timeline for further updates on the investigation. No additional details about the victim or circumstances of the assault have been made public.

Anyone with information about the three motorcycle riders or the July 22 assault should contact Brookline Police detectives at 617-730-2605.
